Boyle – Davis Mouth gag

Used for various operations: Oral cavity -palate surgery Oropharynx- Tonsillectomy, surgery

of the soft palate, pharyngoplasty. Nasopharynx- Adenoidectomy,

excision of angiofibroma.

Draffins Bipod and Magauran’s Plate

Doyen mouth’s gag

Used to keep mouth open for intraoral surgery when retraction of the tongue is not required or desirable.

Mostly used for tongue surgery.

It is applied on one side of the mouth on molar teeth.

Jenning’s Mouth Gag

Similar to Doyen’s mouth gag

It is applied in the centre of the mouth.

Although the name ,Forcep , their jaws are not sharp & upper jaw sits within larger lower jaw.

Uses – Used for holding Tonsil during dissection & pulling it medially.
