TRUTH:• Red meat is red before cooked and not

pale in color when cooked , white meat is pale in color before and after cooking.

• Red meat: Port, Lamb, Deer, Buffalo, and Beef.

• Red meat is important in the daily life . It provides so much protein, iron, vitamins

B6, B12, selenium and omega-3.

TRUTH:• Lean red meat having been removed fat

does not raise blood cholesterol or LDL of the consumers.

• Avoid frying meat with too much grease. Avoid using meat with fat as little as possible

• However, try limiting the serving size to three, six-ounce cooked servings per weeks.

#2 MYTH:Eating

can’t lead to cancer

TRUTH:• Processed meat has been

preserved by smoking, curing, salting or adding preservatives.

• It includes sausage, bacon, hot dog, hamburger, salami and pates.

• A diet with a large amount of processed meat (more than 90g a day) increased risk of bowel cancer and heart disease .

TRUTH:The International

Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the cancer agency of the World Health Organization (WHO), recently said that Processed meat is

“carcinogenic to humans” based on

“sufficient evidence” that is causes colorectal cancer.
