What is teenage pregnancy?

Teenage pregnancy refers to pregnancy in a female under the age of 20.A pregnancy can take place menarche (first menstrual period ), normal taking place around the ages of 12 0r 13.

Consequences Of Teenage Pregnancy

1.Teen mothers are more likely to drop out of school2.Only 40% of teen mothers under the age of 18 go to graduate high school, compared to 75% of teens from similar backgrounds 3.With any teenage mother that dropped out of school she may lack certain job skills so she won’t be able to support her child.4. Teenage mothers aren’t very independent, they become financially dependent on family or on public assistance

1.Teenage pregnancy has raised a lot since 20072.About 10% of all U.S births in 2006 were to woman under the age of 20 3.67% of births are to teenage girls 18 and 194.More then 750,000 teenagers get pregnant each year 5.About 3 in 10 teenage girls become pregnant at least once before age 20

6.About 1 in 4 mothers under the age 18 have a second baby within 2 years after their first baby

7.Teen mothers are more likely to give birth prematurely than mothers over the age of 20
