• Visualization has been used to treat insomnia, trauma, chronic pain, cancer and other long-term illesses

• postive visualization reinforces the mind/body connection

The Importance of Understanding

• The importance of understanding treatments has long been recognized as an important part of paediatric care however complex information needs to be accessible for children to understand what is happening to them and the benefits of procedures rather than just be scared by the illness and its treatment

• Projected images can be magical and otherworldly

• Small images can become powerful and encompassing

The Understanding Plan!

• Take projector puppetry to kids in medical situations to help them understand their illnesses using interactive diagrams that they can play with and explore

The Imagination Plan!

• Even in bed many kids can draw, build and collage to create environments and characters. With little projectors they can create worlds and interact with roomates without touching each other or getting out of bed
