be less than 1000 people.

• The Chinese currency had remained almost fixed against the US Dollar.

• Most of the Asian countries had to devalue their currencies against the US Dollar.

• Decline of GDP in other Asian countries.

• Currency depreciation and fall in GDP of other Asian countries led to fall in exports of

China.

• The export to Japan decreased 6.7%, Korea -31.2%, Thailand -23.5%, Malaysia -16.9%,

Singapore -5% and Indonesia (the worst) -36.4%.
