INSPIRATION FOR TODAY'S YOUTH

BHAGAT SINGH SUKHDEV RAJGURU

KHUDIRAM BOSE

When power is misused, it translates into violence; but when it is used for achieving one's Righteous goals, it amounts to justice. This revolutionary ideology was stated by the great revolutionary Khudiram Bose and followed by Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. Lets start with the hero who hurled the first bomb on the british.

A tribute To India's Youngest Revolutionary

•Khudiram Bose : The hero who

hurled the first bomb on British

It was on the night of April 30, 1908 that Khudiram and Profulla Chaki approached the European Club at Muzaffarpur. With a revolver and a bomb they hid waiting for Kingsford to come out.In a short while a horse carriage drew from the compound of Kingsford's mansion. Khudiram who held a bomb in his hand, whispered to Profulla, "Run away as soon as I throw the bomb. Do not worry about me. If I survive, I shall touch the feet of our revered teacher. Be ready to run. Vanda Mataram!"When the carriage was just opposite him Khudiram aimed and threw the bomb inside. The first bomb hurled at the British by India leapt from a young hand. As the bomb touched the coach there was a deafening explosion. A blood-curdling cry was heard. Without waiting to see what would happen next, Khudiram and Profulla fled in different directions.

The Muzaffarpur killing

Kingsford was lucky. He was not in the carriage on which Khudiram threw the bomb. The people in it were his guests, the wife and daughter of a lawyer named Kennedy, and a servant. The daughter and the servant died instantly. Mrs. Kennedy who was seriously injured died a day or two later.Prafulla committed suicide when cornered by police at the Samastipur railway station. Khudiram was later arrested about twenty kilometers from Samastipur and twelve kilometers from Pusa Bazaar where Rajendra Agricultural University was first established. The railway station where Khudiram was arrested as he was drinking tea was earlier known as Pusa Road and recently has been renamed as Khudiram Bose Pusa (KRB Pusa). He was the first, youngest freedom fighter of Bharat.

MARTYRDOM•A trial was carried out for two months on this Muzaffarpur bombing and other charges of bombing carried out by him. Although the leading Calcutta advocate Narendra Kumar Basu defended Khudiram actions in defence of his motherland to his best, Khudiram was sentenced to death for the murder of women and children. The sentence was carried out, and he was hanged on August 11, 1908. “Legend says that as he was hanged he was still smiling.”

•Cont.:-

•The judge asked :"Why did you do this?" •Khudiram answered very seriously :"Tolerating a crime is bigger than being a Criminal. Whatever I have done is correct. I have listened to my inner voice. I am not repenting for it." •Judge asked :"Do you want to say something?"

Khudiram: "Yes. My motherland is not in the clutches of the British. She has the power to produce many more Khudirams .If one Khudiram dies, ten more will take birth. This will continue till the British rule doesn't end." Judge was visibly annoyed on hearing  this in the packed court. He read out the verdict and said: "On the basis of evidences, witnesses and facts we have reached the conclusion that Khudiram is a Traitor and has committed crime and should be hanged to Death." Khudiram didn't show any expression and was standing fearlessly. He was given a weeks time for appeal. His well-wishers advised him to make an appeal but he flatly refused.

After lots of persuasion he made an appeal just to satisfy the leaders but as expected the appeal was rejected.

Khudiram was asked for his last wish  and he said: "How can you fulfil my last wish? God will fulfill my last wish.

I want that I take rebirth in this land and keep hanging till such time I see my FREE INDIA!"

He was brought to the place where he was to be hanged. He had Gita on his hand and shouted "Vande Mataram" several times. His hands were tied. His face showed No fear at all. He was hanged to death on August 1,1908 at 6 AM. Hundreds of people gathered to bid farewell to this great freedom fighter.

Chandrasekhar Azad

A Pioneer of Bharatiya Independence

Chandrasekhar Azad was deeply troubled by the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in Amritsar in 1919. In 1921, when Mahatma Gandhi launched Non-Cooperation movement, Chandrasekhar Azad actively participated in revolutionary activities. He received his first punishment at the age of fifteen. Chandra Shekhar was caught while indulging in revolutionary activities. When the magistrate asked him his name, he said "Azad" (meaning free). Chandrashekhar Azad was sentenced to fifteen lashes. With each stroke of the whip the young Chandrasekhar shouted "Bharat Mata ki Jai !". From then on Chandrashekhar assumed the title of Azad and came to known as Chandrashekhar Azad. Chandrashekhar Azad vowed that he would never be arrested by the British police and would die as free man.

Chandrasekhar Azad enters in freedom struggle

Chandrashekhar Azad was then attracted towards more aggressive and revolutionary ideals. He committed himself to complete independence by any means. Chandrashekhar Azad and his compatriots would target British officials known for their oppressive actions against ordinary people and freedom fighters.Chandrashekhar Azad was a terror for British police. He was on their hit list and the British police badly wanted to capture him dead or alive. On February 27, 1931 Chandrashekhar Azad met two of his comrades at the Alfred Park Allah bad. He was betrayed by an informer who had informed the British police. The police surrounded the park and ordered Chandrashekhar Azad to surrender. Chandrashekhar Azad fought alone valiantly and killed three policemen. But finding himself surrounded and seeing no route for escape, Chandrashekhar Azad shot himself. Thus he kept his pledge of not being caught alive.Chandrashekhar Azad lived only for 25 years, but inspired thousands of Indians to take part in freedom struggle.

His golden words

Inspiration for the youth Bhagat Singh,

Rajguru, Sukhdev, Chander Shekhar Azad and Subhash Chandra Bose

Now lets come to the power of todays youth. Where we stand today? What is our strength. Look out the followings:-

POWER OF INDIAN YOUTH

• India is experiencing youth but nearly 2/3 of Indian are under 35,half of are under 25 . By 2020 India will be the youngest country in the world.•Which could potentially make India the global power.

Lets look at some:-

38% of doctors in America are Indians

12% of the scientist in America are Indians .

28% of IBM employers in the world are Indians.

36% of NASA employers are Indians.

• 34% of the Microsoft employers are Indians.

• 17% of Intel employers are Indians.

•We have the potential to lead but still we are too far away from our goals. why?

•What are the limitation we have which act as a resistance before our potential.

• For this I am going to discuss here conversation b/w two friends:-

An American youth visited India and went back to America where he met his Indian friend .

When he asked him

How did you find my country ?

The American said it is a great country “ that has solid ancient history and immensely rich in resources”.

The Indian friend asked then

How did you find Indians?

Indians ?

What Indians ?

I did not find or met a single Indian there in India.

What nonsense ?

•Who else could you meet in India then?• The American said : in Kashmir I meet Kashmiri in Punjab , Punjabi in Maharashtra , Marathi in Bengal, Bengali in Rajasthan, Marwari in Tamilnadu, Tamilian in Kerala, Malayali.

I met Hindu MuslimSikhChristianJainBuddhist

And many, many, many, more…………………………..

But not a single Indian did I met think how serious this joke for the ‘nation-building’ fight back and always say :-

I am a Indian.

Mai Aman Pasnd Hu Mere Shehar Mai Na Dangey Rehne Do…..

Laal Or Harey Mai Mat Bato, Meri Chhat Par Tiranga Rahney Do……

No doubt we are capable to over come from resistance .

We have youth inspiration from our golden past, a direction from swami Vivekananda and a lot of expectations from our freedom fighters .

Surely we will fight back

To eliminate corruption and poverty from its roots.

India’s role in 21st century as superpower which believe in brotherhood and peace as

mentioned in epics.“To make this dream true ,youth should have

determination”.
