Boys Camp

Girls Camp

Why is my 13 year old giving me a blank stare?

During teenage years, the wiring of the brain is actually being “pruned”

Camp strengthens the social and emotion vitality of our campers

The structure of the adult brain is determined during the teenage years

- Bob Ditter, M.ED., LCSW

Camp teaches autonomy, competence and

relatedness! Your child will receive 7 essential character traits

at YMCA HWH Camps!

* Grit * Self-regulation * Optimism * Social intelligence* Curiosity * Gratitude

*Kindness - Bob Ditter, M.ED., LCSW

Camp can teach you 21st century learning skills.

• Independence • Team work or group work • Communication• Inclusion or Cultural learning • Problem solving • Goal setting• Being outdoors

- Bob Ditter, M.ED., LCSW

Our son’s Hayo-Went-Ha trip experiences were that added

“extra” that put him over the top for his college admissions. We

know a big reason he was accepted into four universities is

because of his experience at Hayo-Went-Ha for so many years.
