As the election is the pivotal in determining the

future of the country. Security remains the

biggest challenge facing the election in

Nigeria.

I expect the voters to have taken into serious

consideration the core security and safety issues

typically associated with this event. In order to

provide a safe and conducive environment

and minimize the disruption of their civic right.

properly, wear cloth that is comfortable

and can allow you move, run, and jump

freely. And avoid putting on tight clothes

or cloth from any political party.

Do not get involve in debating or arguing

with anybody about the parties or their

candidates. Such argument may lead to

violent.

It’s good you know people around and

ask question when necessary.

Make sure you have emergency numbers

on you cell phone, especially the contact

of the

DPO or Police station nearest to you.

You should also have a intimate

knowledge of the polling area, and be

aware of various routes, shortcuts, dead

ends, canals and any other factors that

might affect you when violence

approaches. Knowledge of the hazards

and legitimate activities in the area is also

required, so as not to run out of the frying

pan into fire.

In case of violence approaching, make

sure you know the direction where it is

coming from than take the other way.

Be observant and report any suspicious

person(s) or movement around the area

to the security agent.

Person(s) that have no business at the polling

station should not be allowed to hang around

the area. Any person without his/her voters

card, or without any proper means of

identification should be drive out of the area.

Report any individual who appear to be

under the influence of alcohol or controlled

substance, and also; unusual activity, unusual

group of people, disorderly individuals, or

quarrels in the area.

inappropriately, i.e. person wearing

clothes that does not match with the

weather condition at that particular time,

like someone wearing overall coat,

raincoat, trench coat, sweater or jacket in

a hot or sunny weather.

around the environment.

Don't approach a suspicious person(s)
