Media: Media is the source of transmission of

informations, news, views and thought of one person across the world.

It is the media which has made the world the global village.

Media enhance the knowledge of public and communicates all the happenings to the public.

Types of Media:Following are the major types of media: Print media Electronic media Social media

Print Media:

Conti… Print media advertising is a form of

advertising that uses physically printed media, such as magazines and newspapers.

Oldest form of media in Pakistan. Basically it is in hard form. Usually common in literary people.

Conti… The earliest known form of woodblock

printing came from China dating to before 220 A.D.

Modern printing is done typically with ink on paper using a printing press.

It was considered that print media was only used by particular persons, now a days special newspapers for blinds are being introduced.

Electronic Media:

electronics or electromechanical energy for the end user (audience) to access the content.

Electronic media has revolutionized the information system.

Now everyone can be aware himself with current information and updates

the mode of advertisement. Different types of tricks are employed to

attract and attend the valuable customers. 

It is the electronic media due to which the world’s living style has been changed.

Advantages: Every home has become an academy. Fast interactions. Discover many things with out effort. Cheapest source of entertainment. All the knowledge is confined to one

platform.

Disadvantages: Moral values are vanished. No cultural boundaries. Worst effects on children. Wastage of time.(if management is not

done) Electronic war.

Social network servicing is on online service, plat form, or a site that focuses on building and reflecting of social networks between the persons.

Face book, twitter, what’s app, and many other names you usually listen from every body now a days, are the social media.

between the persons. Cheapest way of communication now a

days. It is estimated that more than half of the

population of the world is using social media now a days.

Advantages: Technological literacy. Bringing people together. Attracts attention. Cheapest source of connection. Breadth of knowledge. Widen the business.

Disadvantages: Distraction. Health problems. Relationship problems. Illegal crimes and virus attacks. Negative effect on workers productivity.

Media War:

Media War: Media war is very common now a days. Different views over the same issue is

creating bad effect on our society. Truth has become very rare now a days. One can easily start a campaign against

any one without any reason.
