INTRODUCTIONComputer crime is a general term that embraces such crimes as phishing, credit card frauds, bank robbery, illegal downloading, industrial espionage, child pornography, kidnapping children via chat rooms, scams, cyber terrorism, creation and/or distribution of viruses, Spam and so on.

SCOPE OF STUDY To find out about the awareness

among the youth regarding cyber-crime.

To find out about the preventive measures taken by the youth while being online

To find out if they have been a victim of any kind of cyber issues/crimes

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

The primary data is collected from random 50 respondents in Mangalore city between the age group of 13 to 34.

The secondary data is gathered from websites, research papers and articles.

The samples of research were asked to answer the structured questions and the following responses have been got from the study.
