Delbert Eugene Webb1889-1974

• Mr. Webb created the first true retirement community in 1960.

• Sun City, Arizona opened on July 1, 1960 with 5 models, a shopping center, recreation center, and golf course and a crowd of 100,000 – a sign of the future success the company would achieve

• Expanded with more Sun City communities from the 1970s to 1990s

• 2001 Del Webb Corp. merged with the Pulte Group

• Today, there are over 50 Del Webb communities in over 20 states, continuing to evolve and enrich the retirement lifestyle

• Del Webb focuses on both physical and mental well being
