Our laboratory will nurture your future scientists inquisitive nature.

Science ExplorersStudents will apply the scientific method by conducting experiments in life science and physical sciences to develop in-depth understanding.

Why should my child take the Science Explorer summer course?

Students will apply scientific topicswith hands-on activities to encourage interactive learning.

Integrated Science 1

Students will learn about the nature of science, detailing what is and what is not science.

Integrated Science 1The physical sciences will be covered including astronomy, geology, chemistry, basics of physics.

Why should my child take the Integrated Science 1 summer course?

Students will be introduced toconcepts covered in the first semester of Integrated Science 1 at Northwood High School.

Integrated Science 2

Students will begin diving into more advanced scientific concepts.

Integrated Science 2Life science will be taught including ecology, sustainability, biology, and anatomy.

Why should my child take the Integrated Science 2 summer course?

Students will be introduced toconcepts covered in the first semester of Integrated Science 2 at Northwood High School.

AP Computer Science

Key concepts of the theory behind programming will be taught.

Computer ScienceStudents will study the first semester of AP Computer Science, specifically Java programming, in addition to being introduced to challenging concepts from the second semester.

Why should my child take the AP Computer Science summer course?

This summer course facilitateslater understanding with early introduction to and practice with programming concepts.

AP Physics

The first semester of AP Physics is addressed to prepare students.

AP PhysicsConcepts like vectors, kinematics, force, work, and energy will addressed.

This summer will effectively prepareStudents for their first semester of AP Physics launching them into a successful career.
