IngredientsIngredients• 5 C. peeled, thinly sliced apples

(such as McIntosh) • 1/4 tsp. salt • 2 tsp. lemon juice • 2 T. flour • 1/2 C. sugar • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon • 1/4 C. brown sugar • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Peel and thinly slice 5 cups of apples. Peel and thinly slice 5 cups of apples.

Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to keep your apples from browning.

In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients and blend.

Pour over apples and stir until completely coated.

Put apple mixture into an unbaked pie shell, dotting with butter.

Put the top crust on, brush with some milk,and sprinkle with sugar. Cut slits into thetop crust to bake thoroughly.
