Method 1: Recover by Previous Versions

No matter what kind version of Windows 7 such as Business, Enterprises and Ultimate version, they all provide “Previous Versions” feature.

This specific function will make regular backups to protect system disk data.

Therefore, we can take use of this feature to get back our data.

Now let’s see how to do it concretely.

1. At the first place, browse to the folder where your lost Outlook file is located.

2. Next right click the folder and choose “Restore previous versions” from the popup menu.

3. A new window will show up. And recent versions of this folder are listed under “Previous versions” tab.

Enable “Previous Versions” Feature for Other Data Drives

For the sake of protecting the data more prudently, it’s recommended to enable “Previous Versions” feature for other data drives.

1. Firstly, in “Start Menu”, right click “Computer” and select “Properties”.

3. Then in the new window, choose the data drive which you want to enable “Previous versions”, and click the “Configure” button.
