Pain Points

A License Model to Fit Usage Needs and Managing Operational Costs

Workstation licenses are great for teams of less than a handful of people, but become difficult to manage when used in a larger, distributed team environment. This leads to the following problems:

Difficulties in knowing which user has which license (and if that user is still with the organization).

Difficulties in keeping track of serial numbers. Spreadsheets, emails and other methods of management result in “tribal knowledge” that isn’t easily shared but is easily lost.

Submitting tickets to the Embarcadero support team whenever a license needs to be transferred.

Without a centralized license management function, it is more difficult to ascertain which licenses are available to use, often leading to unnecessary renewals of older, outdated licenses
