they are stronger (we are weaker!) they devour people (we will die!) they are all of great stature (‘dehado’)

we are LIKE GRASSHOPPERS! (shame on us!)

they see us AS GRASSHOPPERS! (nakakahiya..) (nakakatakot!) (‘no match’)

Attack through His PRIDE….He was enticed to jump so angels can catch Him

I John 2:16

For all that is in thee world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and

to the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

These draw us away from God’s PROMISESin His Word

The devil will say:

“hindi ka naman mamamatay….” (“you shall not die”)

This destroys our confidence in God. Read, memorize, understand, and TRUST God’s Word.

SELF-SATISFACTION SELF-INDULGENCE

SOME SICKNESSES

AND DISEASES

ATTACKS ON THE FLESH

These draw us away from God’s WILL

The devil will put doubt and say:

“Sinabi ba talaga ng Dios ‘yan?”(“Has God indeed said…?”)This destroys our dependence on God for happiness……Depend on what God can do!

FANTASY

These draw us away from WORSHIP of God

The devil will say:

“….Magiging matalino ka.. magiging katulad mo ang Dios.”(“You will be like God, knowing good and evil”)This destroys our obedience to God. Worship God always to the highest…

CONCLUSION1) GOD HAS A WAY OUT 2) SUBMIT TO GOD, RESIST THE DEVIL3) TAKE CAPTIVE EVERY THOUGHT AND MAKE IT OBEDIENT TO CHRIST.4) THINK GOD-THOUGHTS.5) REMEMBER: GOD WHO IS IN YOU IS GREATER THAN HE (SATAN) WHO IS IN THE WORLD.
