•Lomer Hope, Grace, and Penny Dela Cruz was sent out by Bible Baptist Church, Cebu City, Philippines as missionaries to Cambodia
•On March 1997, they arrived in Phom Penh the day after the bombings happened.
Bible Baptist Church Cebu City and Pastor Armie Jesalva prayerfully hoped that the Cambodian people will receive
the gospel.
The church in Dangkao was started through tract distribution which was done in Phum Thalay on July
1998 which was followed by Medical Missions in Phum Samboa on August 1998
Through Vacation Bible School and extension classes in the surrounding villages the church grew and a property was purchased in Phum Thmey, Sangkat
Dangkao on February 1999
•We started using the property on
March 1999 with a little shack built on
the side Mr. Somnang and Mr. Chandara took charge in looking after the property.
•Because we believe in Matt. 6:33, that
April 1999, we started building our church building with only
$300 but God gave the increase.
On October 1999, while floodwaters surrounded Dangkao, we dedicated our church building and
some government officials came to witness God’s amazing grace. Some members came by canoe.
Dr. Jack Baskin dedicated the building together with Rev. Bruce McKee.
•Through personal
evangelism and home Bible
studies our church grew.
•The little church building was not
big enough to house 150 people
during its services.
•Our work does not stop on the building. We are building lives, spiritual lives, that will one day become servants and worshipers of the Lord
•Young men have given their lives to serve the Lord and teach and preach
even with discomforts and
persecutions.
•Some have enrolled in Bible School but most
have not, yet they serve the Lord,
teach, and preach the Gospel
•On special days we give our offerings to support the
Cambodia Baptist Bible College
These are the baptisms of our
believers from An Long Kong Village
Those who received the Lord have followed in water baptism
On July 2003 Bro. Syhok and Bro. Bunthon and two other young men graduated from Cambodia Baptist
Bible College.
Sister Kim Sry and other ladies have willingly given their lives to serve the Lord with sacrifice and without
hesitation.
•We capitalize our ministry with
children and young people
•They are the hope of this country and they are the hope
of the ministry.
•During Christmastime we emphasize the
birth of Christ as a gift from God
•Salvation is a free gift from
God.
•Christmas last year was blessed, with our church
and extensions worshipping together.
•We testify the true meaning of Christmas.
•Portraying the birth of Christ. . .”Is there room
for Jesus?”
•Will you open the doors of your heart for Him?
We bring the kids from the surrounding villages and reward
them for being faithful for a years’ program.
Dealings with those who want to get saved were sometimes done under The Tree after the services.
We have extended our
church building with the state-of-
the art baptistry.
