While you are living your life…You are making your Eternal destiny

right now…

All humanity has the option of choosing from Two Gates

is a Narrow gate and just a Foot path which you

have to negotiate very carefully

One Gate

Second Gate

is wide like a Superhighway

You are on one roadway or the other…Your eternal destiny depends on your choice of

the road.

In Mathew 7 Jesus said

13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate

and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Jesus is warning us that we have a choice of two Gates…

The Wide Gate

• “…for wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it”.

• This wide gate leads to a broad road where many can easily get in... and get lost!

• Unfortunately this is the road most of us take • A road that leads to destruction of our mind ,

body and soul. • The HIGHWAY TO HELL

The Highway to Hell• We fill our lives with deceit, envy, anger, jealousy, vengeance, lust,

greed, pride, selfishness…,Because,

• It is easy to be deceitful…• It is easy to be vengeful…• It is easy to be selfish…• It is easy to be greedy…• The wide gate with a SUPER HIGHWAY…• Most of the world is well and truly on this Superhighway…• That is what Jesus meant when he said…• For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction,

and MANY enter through it.

The Highway to Hell

• Even within our family units we see hatred, un forgiveness, Jealousy, Cruelty, Violence,

• At a social level we have Adultery, corruption, Divorce

• We fight with our neighbors because of pride… vengeance…selfishness…greed…

• The list goes on and on…

The Highway to Hell

• Countries fighting against each other for greed• Overindulgences, selfishness, violence, rampant all over

the world…in our countries…in our towns…and unfortunately even in some of our own homes!

• With the exception of a very few the whole world is driving down this Superhighway heading towards destruction…

• We are not only destroying our own souls but also our planet along with it.

• Wars…Global warming…Climate change…destruction of our planet!!!

The World is full of Sin…and we are on a Highway to Hell

War… Vengeance… Hatred… Violence

Selfishness…

Greed… Overindulgences…

…broad is the road that leads to destruction,

The Narrow Gate

As Christians' we all believe that there is life after death for us in Gods Kingdom…It is this gate that Jesus is talking about…the narrow one…that only a few will find…14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

In Jesus' own words ONLY A FEW FIND IT…

The Narrow gate leading to Gods Kingdom

Because of Gods love for Humanity he sent His only

begotten son Jesus Christ to us

who has provided us a pathway that leads to

Gods Kingdom…

The Narrow Road to Life

• “… 14 but small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it”.

• Jesus says… narrow is the road that leads to life….AND ONLY A FEW FIND IT!

The Narrow Road to Life…

• Jesus brought us the message of God’s Kingdom to us.

• Jesus has shown us the way to the narrow roadway to life eternal with our Lord…because He loves you and wants you with Him!...Forever!

• In John Chapter 17 Jesus says…• 24 Father, I want those you have given me to be with

me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

How we can stay on the Narrow path that leads to God’s Kingdom is found in the Gospel brought to us by Jesus…

It is all there for us to read, understand, experience and follow His teachings as found in the gospel.

Lets take a look at what Jesus had to say about reaching God’s Kingdom

Kingdom of God

• John 3: 5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

• Yes born again…dead to the old you and the beginning of a new you!

• As the first step we have to accept Jesus as our savior… repent for all the sins we have done knowingly or unknowingly and make a conscious effort to follow His teachings.

The Greatest law

• In Mark Chapter 12 When Jesus was asked “ Of all the commandments, which is the most

important?“ Jesus answered…• 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart

and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

• '[f] 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[g]There is no commandment greater than these."

Again in Mathew Chapter 22

• 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[b] 38This is the first and greatest commandment.

• 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[c] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

The First Law

• 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

• How will you feel if your children whom you love do things to displease you?

• If we truly love our God will we have Vengeance, Selfishness, Greed, Violence, Deceit in our lives control us…?

• If we truly love our God will we resort to any of the things that will displease Him…even after we have been shown with the example of Jesus' life and His teachings made known to us through the Gospel?

The Second law

• '[f] 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[g]There is no commandment greater than these."

• If we love our fellow man as much as we love ourselves can we have Jealousy, Vengeance, Anger, Hate in such a relationship?

• Obviously if we can love our fellow man as much as our selves these CANNOT EXIST in our life.

The Second Law

• If we exist with tolerance, humility, forgiveness, unselfishness and love…

• …can there be Wars…Famine in one part of the world…

• Yes it is a tall order… Jesus Himself said so.• “… 14 but small is the gate and narrow the road

that leads to life, and only a few find it”.

Through a parable Jesus gives us an insight and a word of advice…

In Mathew 24 Jesus tells us…

• 19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Treasure in Heaven

• Imagine if all your Money is in a bank…• You will be concerned as to • How much did I deposit in my account…• Did I receive interest…• How is my account standing with the Bank manager…• Like Jesus warned our earthly treasure can disappear

in an instant…like what happened to most during the current economic down turn…

• Millionaires became paupers…

Treasure in Heaven

• Are we concerned of our Treasure in Heaven?• Is my account in Heaven in good standing…• How much did I deposit today by living a Righteous

life…• Is the manager in heaven Jesus happy with us?....• This treasure cannot be destroyed by anything…• That is except you!• You can destroy your treasure in heaven by

choosing the wrong gate…

Jesus has warned us…

Remember that we have the choice as to which Gate we should take…

The Narrow path to Eternal Life…

The Highway to Hell and eternal damnationOR

The choice is left entirely up to us

By the choice of the gate we are making our eternal destiny

…The way we are living our life…we are making your Eternal destiny

As Christians we should diligently seek the Narrow path that leads to God’s Kingdom by living a

righteous life in keeping with Jesus‘ teachings

In John 14 Jesus says… 21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father,

and I too will love him and show myself to him.

By abiding with His teachings we will be able to manifests our fathers love and be a light on to the worldIn Mathew 5 Jesus said…

14"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

As Christians we have a RESPONSIBILITY to be the light on to the DARK WORLD we live in and dispel

the darkness that is gripping our world today!

You have the power to change the world by letting our light shine on to the world

In Mathew 5 Jesus said… 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your

good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Christians are a majority in the world today.

If we can reach out and be a living example to just two individuals so that they may see our good deeds and they start to praise our Father in heaven…

we can reach the whole worldand change it!

You posses the power to change the world and make it a better place for our future

generations to follow!
