A spectacularly embarrassing, humorous mistake or humiliating situation that is subject to ridicule and

given a greatly exaggerated importance.

Don’t just DO epic, BE epic!

EPICHeroic, majestic, grand,

impressively great, extremely awesome

I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a

future filled with hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 – God’s Word

Translation)

I will bless you with a future filled with hope—a future of

success, not of suffering.

(Jeremiah 29:11 – Contemporary English Version)

GOD WANTS YOUR LIFE TO BE EPIC IN 2016!

A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal

life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.

(John 10:10 – The Message)

Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our

highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.

Ephesians 3:20 – Living Bible)

Experience more of Christ

in your life

Make 2016 a year of GROWTH

That I may know Him [experientially, becoming more

thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the

remarkable wonders of His Person more completely] and [in that same way experience]

the power of His resurrection [which overflows and is active in believers], and [that I may share] the fellowship of His

sufferings, by being continually conformed

[inwardly into His likeness even]

to His death [dying as He did]; so that I may attain to the

resurrection [that will raise me] from the dead. (Philippians 3:10-

11 – Amplified Bible)

Participate in meaningful ministry

Make 2016 a year of SERVICE

Each of you has been blessed with one of God’s many

wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use

your gift well. (1 Peter 4:10 – Contemporary English

Version)

Dear friends, God is good. So I beg you to offer your bodies to him as a living sacrifice, pure and pleasing. That’s the most

sensible way to serve God . . . A body is made up

of many parts, and each of them

has its own use.

That’s how it is with us. There are many of us, but we each are

part of the body of Christ, as well as part of one another. God

has also given each of us different gifts to use . . . . If we

can serve others, we should serve . . . Never give up.

Eagerly follow the Holy Spirit and serve the Lord.

(Romans 12:1, 4-7 – Contemporary English Version)

Invest in something that lasts forever

Make 2016 a year of PASSION

Some people store up treasures in their homes here on earth.

This is a shortsighted practice—don’t undertake it. Moths and rust will

eat up any treasure you may store here. Thieves may break into your homes and steal your

precious trinkets.

Instead, put up your treasures in heaven where moths do not

attack, where rust does not corrode,

and where thieves are barred at the door. For where your

treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21 – The Voice)

Celebrate all the good things in your life

Make 2016 a year of GRATITUDE

Everything good thing comes from God. Every perfect gift is

from him. These good gifts come down from the Father . . .

(James 1:17 – Easy To Read Version)

Therefore, cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of

Christ have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in

your lives . . .

let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be

done in the name of Jesus, thanking God the Father every

step of the way. (Colossians 3:17 – The Message)
