Doctrine # 10
The Experience of Salvation
John 20:31 But these are written, that ye
might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the
Son of God; and that believing ye might
have life through his name.
1. Repent
2. Believe
3. Baptized
Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent,
and be baptized every one of you in
the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts: And see
if there be any wicked way in me, and
lead me in the way everlasting.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love
toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies,
we were reconciled to God by the death
of his Son, much more, being reconciled,
we shall be saved by his life.
2. Believe
Act 16:30 And brought them out, and
said, Sirs, what must I do to be
saved?
And they said, Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,
and thy house.
Act 16:31
Thou believest that there is one God;
thou doest well: the devils also believe,
and tremble.
James 2:19
James 2:17,18
James 2:21-24
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the
Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that
ye may be able to stand against the
wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not
against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in
high places.
Eph 6:10-12
Wherefore take unto you the whole armourof God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:13-15
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench ALL the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Eph 6:16-17
3. Baptized
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto
him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except
a man be born again, he cannot see the
kingdom of God.
John 3:5
Then Peter said unto them, Repent,
and be baptized every one of you in
the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Rom 6:3,4
Rom 6:4
Rom 6:5,6
1. Repent
2. Believe
3. Baptized
Mat 11:28-30 Come
unto me, all ye that
labour and are
heavy laden, and I
will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon
you, and learn of
me; for I am meek
and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find
rest unto your
souls. For my yoke
is easy, and my
burden is light.
John 5:19 The Son can do nothing of
himself
John 6:38 For I came… not to do mine
own will,
John 5:30 I can of mine own self do
nothing
John 7:16 My doctrine is not mine
John 7:28 I am not come of myself
John 8:28 I do nothing of myself;
Joh 14:24 And the word which ye hear is not
mine
The words that I speak unto you I
speak not of myself: but the Father
that dwelleth in me, he doeth the
works.
Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye
yield yourselves servants to obey, his
servants ye are to whom ye obey;
whether of sin unto death, or of
obedience unto righteousness
Rom 6:19 even so now yield your
members servants to righteousness
unto holiness.
