THE FIRST CRUSADE

WHY DID THE F IRST CR USADE BEGIN?

The first crusade started when the pope ( of that time ) came to see the advance of Muslims, and to take back the holy land.

JUST TO CLEAR THINGS UP

The holy land then, was known as Jerusalem. Today, it is known as Israel. Muslims, Jews, and Christian people all fought to retain this land and call it their own. Eventually, we were out of that mix and now just chill over here in the United States.. They however, are still doing the same thing.

WHO FOUGHT?

In the first crusade, obviously Christians, Jews, and Muslims all fought over the holy land. In the first crusade however, the battle took place between Ataman Turks, and Roman Catholics.

WHERE DID IT TAKE PLACE?

This took place same as the others. On the holy land in modern day Israel.

AFTER MATH

A significant impact from the first crusade was that it inspired poets from France to write poetry on the battle.

HOW DID IT END?

The first crusade ended with the Christian believers taking over Jerusalem.
