Ball Handling Drills For Basketball

Beginnershttp://www.verticaljumpprime.com/elitesecrets

Ball handling drills are very effective when trying to improve your ball

handling.

The problem is there are hundreds of different drills and it's hard to find the

best ones to focus on.

There are a few ball handling drills that I've used and have gotten great results

from.

They've been around for years and are still very effective to this day.

Hundred Dribble Drill

• The first drill is called the Hundred Dribble.

• This drill is designed to help you get a great feel for the basketball and eventually turn ball handling into second nature.

• To do this drill you simply would stand in one spot and dribble the basketball one hundred times with your non-dominant hand.

• Then you would dribble one hundred times with your dominant hand.

• Then you would end the drill by dribbling the ball one hundred times again with your non-dominant hand.

Hundred Dribble Drill

• When doing this drill make sure to dribble with your fingers tips while snapping your wrist.

• Do not dribble the basketball with your palms.

Dribble Jog Drill

• The next drill is the Dribbling Jog.

• In this drill you would start at one baseline on the basketball court and with your dominant hand, dribble the basketball while jogging to the other end of the court and all the way back.

• Then you would switch to your non-dominant hand and repeat the same process.

• Do three sets using each hand, and make sure to dribble with you finger tips while keeping your head up.

Zig-Zag Drill

• The last drill is called the Zig-Zag.

• This drill can be used with cones but if you don't have any you can still use this drill without them.

• To begin this drill you would start dribbling from the baseline to the other baseline in a zigzag fashion.

• Every time you make a turn you would switch hands.

• You would do this drill three times.

• Keep a good pace and remember to keep your head up.

Zig-Zag Drill Visual

After you have mastered these drills you will notice a remarkable difference in

your ball handling.

You will feel like you have more control over the basketball, and you will be much more confident when handling the basketball against defenders.

If you want to be a great ball handler, you can't neglect simple drills like these.

But…..

If you want to be an Elite Ball Handler you have to train like the Elite Basketball
