The largest lake in Italy, Lake Garda is located in the picturesque three areas: Veneto, Lombardy and Trentino. In ancient times the lake was called “blessed» (Il Benaco), because it is in an exceptional location, where solar energy is combined with the southern seas enveloping the northern coolness. The diverse architecture of these places, enchanting landscapes harsh rocky cliffs, verdant vineyards and olive trees are not allowed to seduce many famous travelers. Goethe, Oscar Wilde, Byron, Joyce, Kafka and others devoted Lake Garda many enthusiastic lines. At present, Lake Garda is the perfect place for diving, canoeing, windsurfing, as well as fishermen and sportsmen. Rural areas preferred by lovers of cycling, tennis, golf and horse riding fans.
