History of Soccer• We are uncertain when

football/soccer is invented.• The origin of soccer could be

found in all over the world.• The Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Ancient

Greek, Persian, Viking, and many more played a ball game before the “football” was officially established.

• On October 1863, eleven London clubs and schools held the meeting and set fundamental rules of football/soccer. It was known as the birth of the Football Association.

Before then, they could use hands in football/soccer.

In this meeting, they specified that tripping, shin kicking, carrying, and any handling of the ball were forbidden.

Since this, Football/soccer was clearly separated from rugby football.

•An international game is watched and loved by close to 3 billion people.

•78654 pro soccer leagues exist in the world.

•Probably, there are more than 10 000 stadiums in over 223 countries and visited by more than 18 000 daily visitors.

Equipment…

Positions.Goalkeeper…one Goalkeeper per team. His job is to defend his team’s goal..Fullbacks…2,3 defenders. Along with the Goalkeeper, their job is to stop the opponents from scoring.Midfielders…2,3 or 4 players, play between Fullbacks and Forwards. They can be either defensive or offensive.

Cont…Forwards…1,2 or 3 players, play close to opponents’ goal, the primary source of offensive play.
