AVIATION ASSIGNMENT

Done by Joe SimonAHTM

INTRODUCTIONThe aviation industry in India is one of those sectors that saw a constant pace of growth among the other industries in the world over the past many years. The open sky policy of the government has helped a lot of overseas players entering the aviation market in India. From then, it has only been growing in terms of players and the number of aircrafts. At present, private airlines account for around 75% portion of the domestic aviation market.

The Present Scenario Of The Aviation Industry.

CURRENT SCENARIO• We’ve got such great number of airlines on

an increasing scale since aviation helps in trapping a large amount of money.

• It also promises millions of skillfull candidates for a wonderful career in the aviation industry.

• Earlier there was just Air India or Indian Airlines now many other airlines have come upfront such as Kingfisher, GoAir, Indigo to name a few.

HAVOC!!

Eventhough we can see a pleasant sight of great job oppurtunities in this sector currently we all have observed a bad condition getting stirred in the aviation industry and that is the rise of jet fuels and other taxes which have caused the airlines to seize their revenue and are struggling to thrive over this unpleasant situation. From the next slide onwards you’ll observe diffrent cases reported so far.

Kingfisher Airlines Doomed?

• Vijay Mallya the CEO of Kingfisher is currently not at all happy with his airline outcomes and is trying to overcome the difficult situation. It seems he is stuck up with his company depts to repay his loans. The airlines has been cancelled over 120 flights so far due to lack of economic support and also many employees have quit the company . Mr.Mallya has to pay off Rs.7,087 crores approximately . Man, thats something big!

Air India Stuck again?

• Air India, India’s national carrier-turned-cadaver, is waiting for its last rites. When last heard of, the airline had turned in a loss of Rs 7,000 crore in 2010-11, and was investing in an oversized hat to hit the government for yet another bailout masquerading as a turnaround package.

A news from the past – The Manglore Air Crash.

American Airlines CEO: 'We're facing a fuel crisis'

• Just as major airlines have started getting their balance sheets back in order, they're bracing for the impact of skyrocketing oil prices. "We're facing another fuel crisis, and crisis is not too strong of a word," said American Airlines CEO Gerard Arpey, speaking at a conference of business journalists in Dallas. Crude oil prices settled at a fresh 2-1/2 year high of $112.79 a barrel.

HEAVEN!

• We just saw the difficult situations happening currently in the aviation indsutry. But, as we know whatever industry it may be, it have both the good times and the bad times . Kingfisher Airlines has the motto ‘Fly the Good Times’ but currently KF is flying the bad times. It always depends on various factors. Lets see the heaven side now and forget the havoc what we dealt with sometime back.

Indigo Working Hard!

• While the big shot airlines are suffering a huge decline over their progress, the new young airline Indigo has worked into a great progress and has brought tremendous improvement in their business targets. Indigo is expanding to take advantage of the growth in the price-sensitive domestic market, to increase their network within the country as the infrastructure catches up with demand, and to begin international operations.

Oppurtunities. . .

• Aviation industry is an industry which requires alot manpower since its expanding and running all over eventhough there are various factors which is giving a pressur to all the airline companies. Aviation industry offers a very good promising career which can totally change the scenario of the energy packed individuals awaiting for a chance to promote themselves and prove what they are for.

Embarkation and Disembarkation – Deportees.

• What is Embarkation?

Embarkation is a common term heard by anyone who have boarded via a ship, aircraft or train. The word embarkation simply means to board a particular vehicle or any medium of transportation.

• What is Disembarkation?

We already studied what embarkation means. It is simply the opposite of embarkation i.e in this case the passesngers exits themselves out from the aircraft, ship or any other transport medium.

A Disembarkation Form

• Who are deportees?:

• Before understanding the embarkation and disembarkation of deportees we need to know who are known as deportees.

• Deportees are illegal people who are transferred to another country due to any illegal reasons favoured upon him or her.

• Their embarkation and disembarkation differs from the normal procedures which are favoured for the ordinary passengers.

• Embarkation and Disembarkation of deportees :

• As said before the embarkation is a bit diffrent in this case from the embarkation of the normal passengers.

• They are brought in by security and are boarded last and also deplaned last.

• They are seated near the galley so that they get a exposure from the cabin crew members.

• Their paperworks are done by the seniour cabin crew.

Fractures

• What is a facture?

• A fracture is the separation of an object or material into two, or more, pieces under the action of stress.

• The word fracture is often applied to bones of living creatures (that is, a bone fracture), or to crystals or crystalline materials, such as gemstones or metal.

• What are the different types of fractures?

• Open

• Closed

• Complicated

• Open Fracture.

• An open fracture is a broken bone that penetrates the skin.

• This is an important distinction because when a broken bone penetrates the skin there is a need for immediate treatment.

• Furthermore, because of the risk of infection, there are more often problems associated with healing when a fracture is open to the skin.

• Closed fracture.

• A closed fracture is a broken bone that does not penetrate the skin.

• This is an important distinction because when a broken bone penetrates the skin there is a need for more immediate treatment, and an operation is often required to clean the area of the fracture.

• Furthermore, because of the risk of infection, there are more often problems associated with healing when a fracture is open to the skin.

• Complicated Fracture.

• A complicated fracture is any fracture in which the bone or bones which have been broken causes damage to other organs or structures, such as the lungs, kidneys, major blood vessels, spleen or liver.

• In other ways we can say that it is a facture which causes damage to the adjacent organ.

Oxygen Masks/Bottles.

What is an Oxygen Mask?

• An oxygen mask provides a method to transfer breathing oxygen gas from a storage tank to the lungs.

• Oxygen masks may cover the nose and mouth (oral nasal mask) or the entire face (full-face mask). They may be made of plastic, silicone, or rubber.

The proper description of a normal oxygen mask.• Masks are light in weight and attached using an

elasticated headband or ear loops, they are transparent allowing the face visible for patient assessment by healthcare provider and reducing a sensation of claustrophobia experienced by some patients when wearing an oxygen mask.

• The vast majority of patients having an operation will at some stage wear an oxygen mask, they may alternatively wear nasal cannula but oxygen delivered in this way is less accurate and restricted in concentration.

Oxygen Masks in aircrafts.

• Since centuries, all the aircrafts are provided with enough oxygen masks according to the number of passengers travelling via that particular aircraft because there are many possible reasons for the lack of oxygen inside the cabin due to depressurization and other onboard difficulties.

The Different Kind of O2 Masks.

There are even different kinds of oxygen masks used by the pilots and the cabin crew who fly at high attitudes. The following are the different kind of oxygen masks :

• continuous flow • diluter demand• pressure demand

Mechanism of oxygen masks used in aircrafts.• Most commercial aircraft are fitted with oxygen

masks for use when cabin pressurization fails. In general, commercial aircraft are pressurized so that the cabin air is at a pressure equivalent to no more than 8,000 feet altitude where one can breathe normally without an oxygen mask.

• If the oxygen pressure in the cabin drops below a safe level, risking hypoxia, compartments containing the oxygen masks will open automatically, either above or in front of the passenger and crew seats, and in the lavatories.

OXYGEN BOTTLE

Oxygen bottles are the baseline for any oxygen mask or oxygen transfer because as seen in the definition which defines oxygen mask we must have observed that oxygen masks absorb oxygen gas from a container, this container is otherwise known as oxygen bottle which has a certain amount of oxygen filled in it for a specific amount of gas consumption.

CONCLUSION

I believe I have presented all the required topics which had to be established within the aviation assignment. Aviation is not a simple industry to ponder over, like any other industries there is an utmost importance given to this industry in various aspects starting from the embarkation till the landing of a passenger to the next designated area of disembarkation and this assignment has given the maximum details from various aspects.
