Nigel McGuirk, Technical Lead and Solutions Architect runs through the use cases and benefits of using Esri Maps for SharePoint. This slide deck is part of a series of presentations from the Esri Ireland team on "ArcGIS -The Platform Story" and were presented during Road Shows in Belfast & Dublin March 2014. These slides discuss the Esri ‘Maps For’ series, focussing on Esri Maps for SharePoint. Nigel talks through the features of the current release of Esri Maps for SharePoint, shares experiences from implementation projects, and gives a glimpse of what's coming in the product road map. So who is Esri Maps for SharePoint aimed at? While it can by used by GIS professionals, and the tools it provides will be familiar to GIS professionals, its probably fair to say that Esri Maps for SharePoint is not aimed at GIS professionals. It is aimed at:Enterprise information workers; C-Level worker; Typically from a non-GIS background. GIS professionals are likely to be involved in the installation and set up of Esri Maps for SharePoint – liaising with their ICT team.
