Freedom is useless without access to underlying code. Without code we begin to see the "TiVo-ization" of democracy.

Only technology(spot the ethical dilemma?)

The more technology we embed into our lives the less freedom we have. This is not Luddism, but understanding how technology controls us

The Con: Social media is supports freedom & revolution

We teach use but not code.

Digital Natives & fear of exclusion

What to do?

Hack society for openness

Be that guy! (this was my biggest fear)

Tell people what their information habits are doing to their lives

Gadgets manipulate lives: but who decides how?
