The category we choose from: Going to an entertainment event

We decided to name our product: Festive Track

Our device is a wristband which allows the wearer to navigate throughout a festival.

For example it will allow the user to locate there tent and any other major locations throughout the festival.

Our device also allows the wearer to make a digital and cashless transaction at the festival.

Our device will have a GPS Location and NFC(Near Field Communication)NFC (Near Field Communication) is the ability to

transfer information or files by touching or placing two device together.

Bluetooth is an early type of Near Field Communication allowing slow file transfer.

Google Wallet allows users to collect store credit cards and loyalty cards on their phone.

Master card and Barclays have both developed a card payment process using NFC Technology, which enables their customers to pay for things using a magnetic strip placed usually on the persons phone.

The mobile App is used as an display to track main attractions near the users location and to provide an graphical interface to show the user the location of there tent.

The device will come with a mobile app which will work on all IOS, Androids and windows OS.

The device itself will look like a traditional Festival Wristband.

The material that the device will be made out of is Rubber or fabric. Which will also allow the device to be waterproof.

We decided that we are going to brand our design for example:

A brand like red bull we could suit the wrist band to them and design it using similar colours the red ball logo.

This is a design in which I came up with using Photo Shop

The brand in which I have chosen is red bull

I have stuck with the colours which red bull use on there logo and can.

The rim on the wrist band would be made out of waterproof fabric

Then the middle which is the payment and the GPS tracker would be made out of rubber.

We think that we are attracting to a very niche market, that means we will have very little or no competitors.

Branded Wristbands, using a sponsor from a festival, We will have a way of marketing our wristband.

We have conducted research in to how many different GPS navigation application are available for the smart phone.

Through this research we have been made aware that we are not the first to make this type of application.

The difference for our mobile application is that it is used to locate specific areas for particular events.

NFC (Near Field Communication) – The wireless payment technology, is used by the user placing his/hers wristband on a supported chip and pin machine which will start and complete a card transaction.

GPS – Using the GPS Technology in your phone and Signal Booster Found within the band, the user can use his/hers phone to find attractions around a Festival of their choice.

RFID (Radio-frequency identification) bands are already being used during Festivals, to allow festival goers to be recognized without carrying their ID. Also it is used as a E Ticket, to reduce the chance of people loosing their ticket.

Do reduce theft, the bands themselves are disposable and can only be removed by cutting them off.

Find my tentFind my tent is a mobile app which I found on the I phone.

This app allows you to find your tent and know where your tent is and share other locations such as stages, Venues, bars and meeting points.

We think that the Technology used within our Mobile Tech, is very modern and up to date, which leads us to be believe that companies will be looking to advance in using this type of technology in the near future.

Loosing your Wristband could have dire consequences, as NFC technology provides an easy target for theft.

GPS isn't the most reliable technology in terms of signal, which may become more of a factor when in a festive environment (Middle of a field)
