• AS A MATTER OF INTEREST AMONG THE POST GRADUATE STAFF AND STUDENTS OF S.J.G.AYURVEDA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND P.G.RESEARCH CENTRE,KOPPAL-KARNATAKA ,A STEP WAS PUT FARWARD AS A FIELD SURVEY TO THE IRON ORE MINES IN BELLARY DIST. WHICH WAS A CUREOUS ASPECT FOR THE STUDENTS AS HOW CHANUKYA ACHARYA ET.AL WERE EXCAVATING THE MINERAL SOURCES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THERE KINGDOM.

• WITH A INTEREST AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE FROM OUR RASA SHASTRA DEPT. TO HAVE A FIELD SURVEY IN THESE AREAS WHICH MADE BELLARY DIST. AS WORLD FAMOUS IRON ORE CENTRE AND AS A LAND WITH RICH NATURAL RESOURCES..

• AMONG THE STAFF--DR.M.GOPI KRISHNA AND DR.SHASHIDHAR WERE ACCOMPANIED WITH RASA SHASTRA AND OTHER DEPARMENT STUDENTS TO THESE AREAS WHICH WAS A REAL SATISFACTORY TO THE MINERALOGICAL FIELD TRIP.

• MOST MINERAL FOUND WAS HEMATITE WITH VARIOUS PERSENTAGES SCATTERED AROUND IN THE CRUST. PERSENTAGE WERE APPROXIMATLY55% - 64% OF IRON.

• I HAVE TRIED TO COVER THE MOST OF THE SURVEY SNAPS TO BIRDVIEW IT IN THIS PRESENTATION WHICH I FEEL AS THE REAL ASPECT TO UNDERSTAND THE DRUG IN NATURAL FORM FOR THE STUDENT OF RASA SHASTRA.

• WE COVERED RASA SHASTRA – MINERALOGICAL FIELD SURVEYS OF SOME AREAS OF TAMIL NADU,UTTARKHAND REGIONS OF HIMALAYA,SHRISHAILAM REGIONS OF ANDRA PRADESH PREVIOUSLY , NOW WITH THIS VENTURE.

OUR TEAM

ON THE WAY TO SANDUR‐THE ROADS AND MOUNTAINS ARE MADE OF RICH IRON SOURCE WHICH GIVE THE WHOLE AREA A RED IN APPEARANCE

MUCH OF THE MOUNTAIN CONTAINS FERRIC OXIDE—GAIRIKA.

NATURALLY OCCURING FINE POWDER OF ORE .

THIS INSTRUMENT COLLECTS THE SAMPLE OF IRON ORE FROM EVERY METER DEPTH OF EARTH AND ASSESED FOR BEST VERAITY OF SAMPLE TO EXCAVATE.

ONCE THE SAMPLE OF ORE IS COLLECTED FROM THE GROUND IT IS PLACED IN A LONGITUDINAL BOX TO SEND FOR ANALYSIS AND QUALITY ASSESMENT.
