@OutboxSystems

What are dashboards?A dashboard is a vehicle for telling a specific, focused story about a data set

that people can act on. It consists of a curated set of charts, metrics, and

tables based on the data in a lens.

Types of DashboardsTypes of Components

Dashboard ‘types’ can vary when it comes to the Running User (i.e. Dynamic Dashboards versus Static User dashbaords)

Components within the Dashboard can show data in a format that makes it visually understandable and quickly digested (Funnel versus Pie Chart or Line graph)

Creating Dashboards

Let’s build it

Security For Your Dashboards

Dashboards and Reports can have varying levels of access and security associated with them. As an admin, you determine what users, groups, or

roles, have access to which Report/Dashboard folders and whether they have View, Edit, or Manage access.

1 – Dashboards are just a group of reports, once you have your reports defined it’s just a matter of consolidating2 – Appropriate Chart Types help you tell the right story3 – Using Dynamic Dashboards allows individual users to have a custom experience (w/o extra work)4 – Keep things secure
