Meet Edward

Ed is a dedicatedcredit union employee.

On his way to becoming a credit union CEO.

Ed likes to be in the know…

But he has a hard timekeeping up with everythingthat is happening.

Like…AlertsNews & UpdatesCurrent ProjectsPromotions

That’s why Ed keeps upusing Online Tools.

Online Tools makeknowing what’s goingon easier.

And that makes Ed’s job easier.

Ed doesn’t go out looking for the news.

He lets the news to come to him.

Using RSS, important updatescome right to his desktop.

Just think, if Ed’s credit unionhad an Intranet…

the news would show up there, too.

Ed also reads about industry news from CreditUnions.com

And watches what’s happening in CU*BASE.

Ed can see what ideas his peers inother credit unions have.

Wait.

Ed has an idea.

Wouldn’t it be cool ifMonitor had RSS feedsso that news wouldcome to him too?

Ed fires off an Idea Form to Randy.

Ed and Randy will discuss this idea via email.

Randy discusses the idea with his team.

Randy discusses the idea with his team.

We’ll see what Randy says.

While looking through the projects on Monitor,

Ed came across a great idea by one of peers.

Ed logs into the Ownership Community so they can collaborate.

That way, anyone elsewho wants to contribute can and everyone benefits.

Even if they are competitors.

Ed read in a book, this is called co-opetition.

Sometimes, Ed has questions.

Sometimes, Ed’s members have questions.

At work, Ed uses the Internet to find answers.

At home, Ed also uses the Internet to find answers.

But he’s been usingsocial networking sites too.

So Ed has a network of friends and colleagues to help.

Sometimes, it’s friends of friends, people that he doesn’t know that help him out.

In return, he helps them out.

How do people he’s never met

know he can help?

Ed keeps his profile updated.

After all, how do people know what you can do of if you don’t tell them?

Now, his boss, his colleagues, his friends, and every other

unseen relationship knows what Ed can do.

If Ed had a social networkingat the credit union, he might know thatthe person only 2 desks over couldhelp him right now.

Or, Ed could connectwith someone 3 statesaway who has theanswer he needs.

So for a guy who likes to be in the know…

Seems like Online Tools and Social Networks arethe way to go.
