Presentation (P): This role delivers the SPOG master view of all environments to be managed.

Management (M): The role that manages a single environment.

Engine (E): The workhorse of PHDVB, this role performs the actual backup and recovery processing.

PHD Hyper-V Services: Installed on each Hyper-V host to be protected, these services manage the Hyper-V functions needed for data protection

RabbitMQ: The communications vehicle PHDVB uses between layers (P, M, E) and between the PHD Hyper-V Services and VBA (E).

Pre-Install Checklist

2. If using static IP, know what the IP address of the VBA will be

3. Make sure that Chrome or Firefox is installed on a host or a workstation that can route to the VBA(IE is currently not supported)
