Mr. Dongjin Koh has been President of Mobile at Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. since January 1, 2016. Previously he held a series of executive roles at Samsung Electronics, most recently as the head of the Mobile R&D organization. In this capacity he launched a series of market-shaping products, including its mobile payment system.

Injong Rhee is the global head of R&D, Software and Services and Samsung Pay of Samsung Electronics. John Riccitiello is Chairman and CEO of Unity Technologies. John served as the CEO of Electronic Arts until 2013. He originally joined EA in 1997 as President and COO. Diane Tavenner is the Co-founder and CEO of Summit Public Schools. She founded Summit’s flagship school in 2003, and grew the organization into a leader charter network serving California and Washington State. Today, Summit’s graduates are completing four-year college degrees at twice the national average. Newsweek and US News & World Report have ranked Summit among the top public schools in the nation. In partnership with Facebook, Summit is currently working to scale personalized learning by making its Personalized Learning Plan Platform (PLP) available to schools across the country for free. Diane serves as the Board Chair of the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) representing the majority of California’s 1,100+ charter schools and the California Charter Schools Association Advocates, a political advocacy organization working on behalf of public school students.

SDC 2016 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Samsung is planning a special conference experience for young students at SDC 2016! With the focus of “What’s possible with Technology”, local classes from middle schools and high schools will have the opportunity to attend the conference, see a panel of technology experts, take part in a guided tour of the Pavilion and have the opportunity to see, touch, play with and learn about the latest technology available today. Samsung will be teaching students how to code using Scratch to program a remote control car, then have them participate in a RC car race!

Samsung is celebrating the diverse Bay Area community by partnering with the San Francisco Film Society at the 58th San Francisco International Film Festival, April 23 – May 7.
