●Create bulleted lists

●highlight your main points -People may want to skim to get an idea of what you’re saying and go back later to read the whole post

Anyone can become an active and engaged volunteer in their community, all you need is the ability to think creatively about the resources you have available, and what you can do with them to help others. Take Alex Ullman for example. Alex is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a second semester student at Berklee College of Music (link: http://www.berklee.edu/ ). He’s a nice guy, well-educated and musically inclined. He has been a volunteer in Boston Partners in Education’s ( link: http://www.bostonpartners.org/ )Aim High Program at the Boston Community Leadership Academy (link: http://www.bostonpublicschools.org/school/boston-community-leadership-academy ) (BLCA) for the past few months, tutoring ELL students in English. Once a week he travels from downtown Boston to the Brighton campus of BCLA to work one-on-one with students that are learning English as a second language. He’s a musician that plays the horn, so to save an extra trip downtown, he frequently brings his instrument to his tutoring sessions.
