Barcelona is the capital and the most populous city of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain, after Madrid. Antoni Rovira i Rabassa, (1845 – 1919) qualified as an architect from the Madrid School of Architecture in 1866. His properly Modernista buildings are Casa Ramon Casas (Casa Casas-Carbó), 1894; Passeig de Gràcia, 96, on whose interior decoration J. Pascó and J. Orriols worked. It’s a listed building, that was designed by architect Antoni Rovira i Rabassa in 1899 for Ramón Casas (1866–1932) who, together with artist and writer Santiago Rusiñol, was one of the main introducers of Modernism into Catalonia.

There is almost no other architectural style - apart from Gothic - that has influenced the face of Barcelona as much as the Modernisme - the Catalan art nouveau. The epoch of Modernisme left the city with a unique cultural heritage. This is proven by the fact that no other city has as many buildings on the UNESCO World Heritage List as Barcelona. The facade uses worked stone and the balconies are very elegant with their decorations. The edge of the roof has also beautiful designs and the entrance doorway calls attention for its beautiful decoration.

The only outstanding feature on the façade is the carved stone balcony of the main floor.

In 1941, the Vincon store was established in the building, which emerged in the Sixties as the country's pre-eminent purveyor of furniture and design. Since 1973, Casa Casas-Carbó is home to gallery Vincon, La Sala Vinçon, an art gallery specialized in the industrial and graphic design field.

The spectacular Moderniste fireplace on the first floor (in reality the furniture department of Vinçon) designed in wild Art Nouveau exuberance with a gigantic hearth in the form of a stylized face.
There are several entrances, and you can checking out the furniture floor, which gives access to a terrace with views of Pedrera.
One of the most beautiful patios found in the Barcelona Eixample district.
Azulejos
The back terrace, used now as a setting for outdoor furniture, is a cool respite and a breath of fresh air with views up to the next-door rooftop warriors of Gaudí's Casa Milà.
From the terrace you can admire the Pedrera building by Gaudi in great detail from the back, which is situated in the same block
