6. Porečki povijesni festival

Giostra

• Festival okuplja preko 250 kostimiranih sudionika koji kroz tri dana festivala posjetitelji-ma dočaravaju život u doba baroka.

• Ova kulturno-turistička i edukativna manifesta-cija svoje uporište ima u povijesnim dokumenti-ma i većina sadržaja je vezana uz 18. stoljeće.

• Središnji događaj festivala, po kome je festival i dobio ime, je viteški turnir Giostra, rekonstruiran prema pravilima o viteškom nadmetanju održanom u Poreču 1745.g.

6th Historical festival Giostra

• The festival brings together over 250 costumed participants, who during three-day festival to visitors depict life in the Baroque era.

• This cultural and educational festival is based on historical documents, the most from 18th

century.

• The central event of the festival, after which the festival takes its name, is a knight tournament Giostra, reconstructed according to the rules of the knights' competition held in Porec 1745.g.

Poredak i gospodu čuva vojska. Prirodno!

Bartolomeo Rigo, vitez natjecatelj u

Giostri i općinski kancelar,

dokumente o Giostri pohranio je po

nalogu štovane gospode sudaca iz

Novigrada.

Trkalište je bilo postavljeno na

obali i bilo je dugo oko 180 m.

Nadmetanje se pratilo sa raskošne

bine, sa prozora kuća i s lađa na

moru.

U nadmetanju je sudjelovalo osam

konjanika. Svaki od njih je imao

svog pješaka i sekundanta (kuma).

Nadzirao ih je glavni meštar sa

svojom svitom, konjanicima i

trubačima.

Konjanici su bacali koplje u metu a

pogodak je nosio 1, 2 ili 3 punta.

Koplje se bacalo u tri trke.

Najbolji natjecatelj je od tribunala

sudaca dobio na poklon dva

odlična pištolja.

By the order of respected judges from

Novigrad Bartolomeo Rigo, knight rider

in Giostra, and district chancellor,

deposited Giostra’s documents.

Racetrack , about 180 meters long

was set on the coast.The competition

has been observed from luxurious

grandstande , from windows and from

ships at sea.

Eight horsemen participated in the

competition, each with his pedestrian

and seconds (godfather). Supervised

by the Master Chief and his entourage,

with horsemen and trumpeters.

Cavaliers were throwing a spear and

aiming the target . The hit made 1, 2 or

3 points. Every horseman was entitled

to three runs, and the spear was

thrown three time.

The best competitor was awarded by

the tribunal with two excellent pistols.
