Our impressions about Romania.

The first day. Our adventure began on the 5th of November. 15 hours were spent to get from Latvia to

Romania. In Romania we were met by our host families

who took us to their homes.

The second day On the second project day we and an official

opening of the project work at school. We presented our country as the theme was “My

country- my soul” and listened to other presentations.

Later on we visited three exhibitions where we were told about the nature of Romania, their cultural traditions, goods produced in Romania

We tasted traditional food of Romania.

Their national dish is called “sarmale”- cabbage leaves filled with mushrooms or meat.

We had sport activities.

We played volleyball and did other sport activities.

The third day We had the meeting with the Mayor of the city. We had an excursion to the furniture factory, bakery

and an old orthodox church.

There is no electricity, just the light of candles.

The fourth day. We had different workshops and activities at school.

We went to the concert and “Miss and Mr Autumn” in the evening, after that we had a disco.

Romania is a beautiful country with picturesque mountains.

People are very friendly and helpful. All wanted to get acquainted with us.

Our host families were great! It was a great adventure.
