MOVING TO A NEW HOUSE?WHAT IF YOUR FURNITURE DOESN’T FIT?

It is important to make the necessary preparationswith regards to your furniture prior to moving.

Take the time to do the proper measurements of allthe larger furniture pieces to see which ones might

not pass through the doors of your new home.

Arrange for rigging services to get the furnitureinto your new home if necessary.

Measure the entryways of your new home soyou will be able to determine if moving

certain pieces of furniture in will be a problem.

Try using different angles when you are trying to getin large furniture pieces, as it might just be a matter

of having to get it in at an awkward angle.

If you are able to, dismantle part of the furnitureso you can fit it in your new home.

Not all furniture can be dismantled, but you might find that removing the legs of a certain

piece could allow you to fit it through the door.

If you are still having problems withgetting your furniture into your new house,

try taking the hinges off the door;this might give you just enough space to get

your furniture through by half an inch or so.
