OPERATION GIVE DONATION TO HA'APAI

The aid will go directly for and in behalf of the people of the Ha’apai Island (s) group of Tonga, who have suffered substantial setbacks and loss after a cyclone ripped through the entire island on January 11, 2014. The Tropical Cyclone Ian made landfall in northern Tonga. It was the strongest storm ever recorded in Tongan waters. Ian first appeared as a tropical depression between Fiji and Tonga on January 6, 2014, and took five days to develop into a Category 5 system with winds of over 200km per hour. The commodities that have been generously donated will aid in the basic necessities needed for hundreds of families in Ha’apai islands. Dialogue and ongoing communication’s from local authorities during the aftermath of the devastating cyclone Ian storm; triggered the efforts and strategic arrangements. Supplies include Rice, Flour, Sugar, Wheat, and Cooking Oil/Seasoning’s. There are also hygiene kits, school supplies, children’s toys and clothing.
