Top 10 Highest Mountains in the Philippines

The top ten highest peaks in the Philippine archipelago are concentrated mainly on its two largest islands. Luzon Island, home of the grand Cordillera mountains, has the 3rd, 6th, 9th and

10th highest. While the rest, including the highest peak, are found in the island of Mindanao.

From the summit of Mt. Kitanglad (4th), one can see 4 of the 10 highest mountains cascade. This photo was taken on the morning of January 27, 2013.

Mount Kitanglad is an inactive volcano located in the Kitanglad Mountain Range in Bukidnon province on Mindanao island. It is the fourth highest mountain in the Philippines and has an approximate height of 2,899 meters.

Singakalsa - this mountain has become a permanent part of the repertoire of Cordillera mountains, usually done as a dayhike from Baguio or a constituent hike of the 'Luzon 3-2-1' which combines the three highest peaks of Luzon in one hike: Timbak, Tabayoc, Pulag.

Mt. Kalawitan is the 4th highest mountain of Luzon. We have scaled it last November 2012 and named it Halloween Climb.
