I am using “Free Music Play’’ as a source of library for sound and musicI will specify sounds which are dark, slow, and eventually a build up towards the end due to the storyline and plot we are going for in our OTS.

Here I researched“shadow”, I feel like

shadow would bring upsome dark, slow and

horror like tracks whichwould suit our OTS.

This track shows a lotof (darkness falls)potentials due to

the increase in tempotowards the end

which could play apart towards the ending

of our OTS.

However, with the sounds and

instruments used aresimilar for an action/

futuristic genre.

Here I researched“Choir” as choir

noises have a stronglink to possession films

One which stoodout to me the most

was “All I have are mysigns.”

Main reason why I was attracted to

this track is the start.I like the loud drum noises

which would correlatebetween shot changes.

However the rest ofthe track goes

completely off topic andis more of an inspiration

sort of track.

Here I researched“Mysterious” soundsas I want the sound

to emphasise anenigma effect.

Main One which stoodout to me was “Sudden

disappearance”. I liked theuse of dark and slowtempo sounds which

could be used atthe start of our OTS.

However, Towards themiddle of the track, the

use of electronicsynths ruined the

dark, horror effect I amaiming for.

I then researched“tension”, as throughout

the OTS, the pace willincrease and I want a

track which can build uptension as it is a symbolic

OTS and footage usedwon't have that effect

One which has a lot ofpotential is “Acumen”, I like

how there is very little soundactually used which creates

a scary and absent effectwhich goes with the use of

a symbolic OTS.

However, I am nottoo fond withthe talking in

the background. Makes it sound like

its a space communication

What I’ve DiscoveredOverall, with the key words I used to search the free music tracks, my main aim is to obtain tracks which are dark, scary, have essence of mystery as well as a slow build up of pace towards the end where the OTS will speed up in regards to pace.

If I have to, I will take tracks and re-edit them on a software called “reason” or “garage band”, however the next slide will show potential tracks which could be used.
