A Proud BirdTiny in size, but tall in his own way… a proud bird. Very colorful as well. I painted this proud little bird sitting on a branch, beautiful leaves and delicate branches surround him as he looks at something in a very focused way and feels the breeze of Spring…

Pretty BougainvilleaBougainvillea flowers looking pretty in the wind. The petals of the flower seem like they are made of delicate, soft paper. This contrast of soft pink flowers and delicate green leaves was looking very pretty swaying in the breeze one evening. Out came the hand-made paper and paints and here is the result :).…

Endless Shades of DahliaI was so amused by the beauty of Dahlia that I decided to make multiple versions of this flower applying combinations of different colors. With its innumerous petals all beautifully placed together, it is hard not to appreciate the charm of the flower. So, no – it is not Photoshop because of which you are seeing multiple variants of this painting :).

Mauve FlowersWhat can I say? I love flowers and nature. So here is yet another one – a flowers’ painting – Mauve and Beautiful. They look happy and hence make me feel happy. This is a still life painting made with water paints. Because it is a still life painting, we can see different shades and shadows which gives it an overall feel of life in general – which has various shades.

AmalgamIn this painting I have tried to show the fusion of beautiful music and the perfect moment. I feel that evening around sunset is the best time for enjoying playing music. So, while imagining that melodious moment, in my mind there came the image of Pied Piper – a pipe player and I decided to make him the hero in my painting.

Madhubani - AquaThe Madhubani Art, practiced mainly in Bihar (India) is characterized by geometrical patterns and the attention to details that are given to the art work. The medium used for creating the paintings vary. For this painting, I have used fabric paints on cloth. With fishes on four symmetrical sides and leaves in between – this is my first attempt to add the Madhubani art to my shelf.

A Long Shadowy PathKharagpur, India, where I used to live before moving to Bangalore, is very green and beautiful. There are many such paths (like the one you see above) where people take dreamy morning or evening walks, enjoying the breeze and the beautiful views of nature around. It is refreshing for both the body and soul. I used to go around one such path every day in my wheelchair and was inspired to capture this on paper.
