People say that a mans character can be told by the ways how he or she uses his spare time. For some people work is necessity in order to gain a living and only in free time this person can show himself.

Somebody is completely passive during leisure hours.

It can be explained by hard physical work. These people need to spend their leisure time by doing nothing. They like to read books and sit in an armchair with a cup of cacao. We can say that these people are maybe introverts, as they like to spend time in their own world.

But some people adore being active during leisure hours. They plan how they want to spend their spare time.

As usual these people have hobbies like scuba-diving or mountaineering. They cant sit on one place, they need to move, to spend their energy.

And some types of people get a real satisfaction when they can show what theyve done during leisure time. Their favourite hobbies are carpentry, pottery, sewing or knitting.

As for me, I used to be very active in my spare time, but now I appreciate my personal time, because I can have a rest during these hours. It is a kind of refreshment for me, it helps me to recreate my own sources of inspiration. I need a lot of energy, because my study at university is very difficult.

But sometimes I really feel the necessity of passing my free time actively. Instead of watching TV or reading good books I go to a concert, or I like having picnics in the forest. I also like swimming and walking with my friends.

To tell the truth, leisure activity can show what this person likes, it shows how they are filling themselves. Leisure time also helps all people to have a rest from work or from some every-day problems.
