High angle shot has been used on Pollyanna to connote that she is vulnerable in comparison to Aunt Polly. This matches the stereotype that adults are more superior compared to children.

He hears a fatigues pilot calling for help, the barber attempts to rescue the injured officer.- Black and white colours are still evident to connote it is set in a past era, however now the use of speech has been put into place. Music is still a part of films. Non-diegetic background music of a violin is incorporated into this film to increase the tension. This is followed by a low angle shot used as the protagonist rises from his seat to show his growing power.
