In terms of the text, the track listings are written in the same dirty/scratched font shown on the cover, implying the gritty/rough lyrical content that is commonly found in the rock and roll genre. I really like the simplicity of both the album covers as they help to keep the viewer engaged on both the band and the album they are trying to promote. Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome of my album covers as they are simple yet visually effective in my opinion.

The motorbikes are included to help portray the ‘rebellious’ / ’outlaw’ nature of rock and roll. Josh is wearing jeans and a matching white t shirt/hat, which has connotations of youth culture and a sense of style. This could refer to the band ’Mouse Rat’ creating a fresh sound that will appeal to modern audiences and stand out from the mediocrity of everyday music.

I am shown wearing a dark buttoned shirt which, against Josh’s clothing, could be seen as ‘old’ and ‘new’ styles of music coming together, implying the album will have a combination of both traditional and modern sounding music, engaging a wider audience. The band’s name is in capitals and has been placed in the middle of the image in order to draw the viewer’s attention, whilst connoting their dominance within the music industry. The text underneath is the name of the album which is also in capitals so that it is prominent enough to stand out.
