Identify the elements that connect the 3 different parts of the magazine

Mast head is present on each page of the magazine which conforms to the magazine conventions. This is to promote the brand of the magazine and reinforce the identity so its easily recognisable to the audience. Its common for the mast head to be on the front cover and contents but NME added it very small on the double page spread as well.

Colour scheme is constant (red black and white). This keeps the magazine gender neutral while still using bold eye catching colours. Keeping the colour scheme constant creates order in the magazine and makes it look professional.

Same font is used to maintain the house style and so its evident to the reader what magazine they are reading.. The text is a range of sizes depending on what it is for example the mast head is dramatically bigger than by lines because its more important for the brand to be identified and get the readers attention.

Mode of address is casual and friendly throughout. Slang is used to create a bond with the teenage target audience and make it easy to read.

Similarities

Artist; Dizzee Rascal is present on the front cover and the double page spread. He is one of the main features of this magazine which is why he in present so much. Both photos present his mischievous personality by showing graffiti in the background.

Text to do with Dizzee Rascal is titled unlike the editors article. This has connotations of the artist or article being edgy.

Mes en scene is used in all the images used by the magazine. Props are used which relate to the article for example the tour bus, alcochol and radio and graffiti can.
