Design

Screen Tempo• For the ident of BBC One, it is broadcasted before ‘match of

the day’. It plays as a fast forward at time but then it also goes into slow motion

Space and time

The ident for Channel 4 of ‘The Simpsons’ is 39 seconds long. This ident is only branded before ‘The Simpsons’ is broadcasted.

Information and entertainment led

Information; Information given in E4 is the resemblance of the E, which stands for entertainment and the 4 shows that the channel is linked to channel 4.

Entertainment; Entertainment within E4’s idents are very comical and extraordinary to entertain the viewers of the channel.

Interaction with the viewers

Interaction with the viewers tells the viewers of the channel what is coming up now, next and later on. Sometimes it even tells you about a programme a few days before broadcasting to make the viewers look forward to something

Density of informationThe amount of information shown in the BBC three ident is fairly limited. It shows that the channel is linked with the BBC and the three represents the third channel of the BBC out of the 4.
