Purposes of music videoMusic videos have a few purposes, like:

• Promoting the band/artist • To help the listener/viewer understand what

the music is about • To represent the image of a certain artist/band

SummarisingThe video shows what band members do in their spare time –

spending time with their mates, ‘chilling’, in the area where they grew up – New York, Brooklyn, Flatbush Avenue. The

main character, the one who’s rapping, Meechy Darko, is one of the member of Flatbush Zombies. We can also see another member, Zombie Juice, although third and the last member of FBZ, Eric Arc Elliott, isn’t in the video. Other people are just

friends of FBZ.

Aspects of the film languageThe video shows a perfect example of linear narration. It tells a

certain story, but doesn’t include any flashbacks or memories, everything happens in a right order.

The video shows us a lot of close ups, medium shots and a few long shots.

Flatbush ZombiesThe group is composed of three rappers:

• Meechy Darko • Zombie Juice • Erick Arc Elliott

All three members were born and raised in Flatbush and are from Jamaican descent.
