you media product and why?

BAUER

• A powerful institution that has a vast array of online content.

• This will enable my magazine to be available to the mass market.

• With my magazine being fully online it makes it gives my magazine a modernistic edge to my competitors.

Radio

The Bauer Media group has its own our local radio- this would mean that our magazine could be targeted at home, by using radio promotion on the magazine, it would become more popular and better presented.

Target market

The institution itself is very Male gender dominated.

The magazines they distribute are either for

male or for females there is no in between. This create a perfect selling point for

my magazine because they have no magazine like

mine.

Kerrang

The Bauer Media Group have been really successful with Kerrang- this gives Bauer a proven track record- hence

suggesting that they really work as a company and are able to

promote my media product well.

Subscriptions

• Although Kerrang own our local radio, they are also a national company- this makes the magazine much more accessible to big super markets such as Tesco for distribution, the magazine could be distributed to any place at any time- rather than having a small niche market, widening profit margins.

• Bauer also have a subscription based website, this would mean that my magazine would be suitable for subscription and ordering, by doing this, the magazine is easier to obtain for the mass market, once again widening profit margins as the magazine is more accessible to more people

Further

• Bauer has 22 million national readers, however, they don't have a Classical neutral gender magazine- this could act as a selling point as the number of readers would increase- meaning more profit for Bauer.
