www.spelacadez.com �Špela Čadež is a Slovenian animator and filmmaker. After graduating in
Visual Communication Design (2002) in Ljubljana she continued her studies at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne, Department of Media Design. �During her studies in Germany she made two animated puppet films
"Zasukanec" ("Mate to Measure") and "Lovesick" ("Liebeskrank") which have been screened at over a hundred festivals all over the world and won
more than 30 awards. Since 2008 Špela Čadež works in Slovenia as an independent animation film director and producer. �

VESSELA DANTCHEVA (BULGARIA)

awarded a Cum Laude degree. She attended an exchange in animation at the School of Visual Arts in New York (2001). Vessela works as an independent film director, producer and visual artist. She is a co-founder of FinFilm animation studio
and Compote Collective. Her films have been screened and awarded at a number of international film festivals. Her filmography includes Anna Blume (2009), Sometimes (2008), Easy (2004), Wish (2004), Snowman (2002), Wake up
(2002), Pull Over (2001).�
MAGDA GUIDI (ITALY)

Animation Cinema. Author of Animation Film, illustrator. �
In her filmography we count works as “Sì, però… (Yes, but…)” (2000), Nuova Identità (New Identity, 2003, music video for Tre Allegri
Ragazzi Morti’s song), Ecco, è ora (That’s the time, 2004), “Via Curiel 8” (2011, winner of the Torino Film Festival, short section, in cooperation
with Mara Cerri), and two films about Saint Lazslo: “I miracoli di San Laszlo parte 1” (“St. Laszlo’s miracles pt. 1”, 2010) and her most recent work, “San Laszlo contro Santa Maria
egiziaca” (St. Laszlo vs St. Mary from Egypt”). �
JONI MÄNNISTÖ (FINLAND)

animation department of Turku Arts Academy in 2011 he joined two Finnish animation collectives, Paperihattu and Turun Anikistit. His latest films, Kuhina/ Swarming (2011) and Electric Soul (2013), won many awards and
were screened all over the world.�
REGINA PESSOA (PORTUGAL)
www.ciclopefilmes.com/regina-pessoa�Born in Coimbra in 1969, graduates at the Oporto University of Fine Arts. In 1992 begins working in Filmógrafo, where she collaborates as an animator. In 1999 animates and directs her first author film “A Noite” (The Night), engraving in
plaster plates and won 9 awards. In 2005 animates and directs her second short animation film “Tragic Story with Happy Ending”, whose project received 3 prizes in Annecy “Espace Projects” 2001, and recently won 26 awards in
various festivals around the world. Her latest work is the dark and tender story of “KALI, the little vampire” (2013), narrated by Oscar winner Christopher Plummer. �
ÜLO PIKKOV (ESTONIA)
www.joonisfilm.ee�Ülo (b. 1976) studied animation at Turku Arts Academy
in Finland and since 1996 has directed several award-winning short animation films in Eesti
Joonisfilm and Nukufilmstudios. �His articles, caricatures and illustrations have been
published in the Estonian press. In 2005 he graduated from the Institute of Law in University of Tartu,
focusing on the media and author’s rights. Since then, he has worked as a manager and producer for
documentary and animation films in Silmviburlane.�In parallel with producer’s work Ülo has continued
directing his own animation films and supporting new talents in the Estonian animation scene. �
Together with Priit Pärn he is the founder and associate professor of the Animation Department in the Estonian
Academy of Arts. �
MARINA ROSSET (SWITZERLAND)
www.marinarosset.ch �Born in 1984 in Lausanne, Marina Rosset studied film at the École nationale supérieure des arts visuels de la
Cambre in Brussels, as well as at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. She has already made five short films: Apres Le Chat (2005), Botteoubateau (2007), La Main De L'Ours (2008) and Laterarius, (which was
screened at Locarno in 2010), and La Fille aux Feuilles (2013).�
GÁBOR ULRICH (HUNGARY)
www.ulrich.hu �Gábor Ulrich was born in 1967. �
He graduated from the Kecskemét Teacher Training College, visual course in 1990. Animation director, fine
artist and professor of arts. In the focus of his oeuvre is the human body and its structures, he experiments with
the forms in his films, which were screened at several festivals from Annecy to Hiroshima, from Rio de Janeiro
to Kiev, in Zagreb, Espinho and Leipzig, in more than thirty cities. Winner of several prizes, his film Before
has been nominated to the Cartoon d'Or Award, one of the most prestigious awards of the animation film.
Professor of more schools and universities. ��
PETRA ZLONOGA (CROATIA)
ikonartsfoundation.org/artist-petra-zlonoga-animation�Petra Zlonoga (1982) holds an MA in Graphic Design from the School of Design (2007) and MA in Animated Film and New Media from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb (2011). Since 2009 she works as a freelance graphic designer, illustrator and animator. She made several awarded animated films during her studies: Daniil Ivanovich, Marry Me (2007), Gregor (2010), Fox (2010), and Daniil Ivanovich, You Are Free (2011). �
In the beginning of 2014 she has finished her first professional animated film Hunger. �
